ON Corporation recently announced that MVON release 1.0, the MultiValue environment for Oracle, outperformed UniData by over 28%.
ON Corporation completed several benchmarks of a Manifest Entry Transaction System at a customer site running on HP/ux 10.2, UniData 3.3.2 p38, and Oracle7. The benchmarks repeatedly confirmed exciting results. The native UniData environment clocked in at 30.5 seconds per 1500 transactions. MVON with Oracle7 as the database clocked in at 22.0 seconds per 1500 transactions.
"Our benchmarks on Oracle dispel any doubt in the MultiValue marketplace as to whether MVON is a suitable production environment for high-count, multi-user organizations", reports Bruce Burkhardt, ON's Engineering Manager.
